Summary

Holland Services is now seeking a contract document-scanning clerk for a 2-3 week project in our Land Records Department to perform the following tasks:

  • Operate scanner and laptop to support the indexing and electronic capture of paper-based legal documents into an electronic format.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities would include:

  • Working in a team of two to manage, scan and index legal documents.
  • Opening and sort documents before scanning.
  • Keeping documents organized in the predetermined categories.
  • Sort and process the scans in a highly organized manner: removing staples, binder clips etc. to ensure document feeding into scanner.
  • Re-securing documents and putting them back in the correct storage container using the predetermined organizational structure.
  • Testing and improving new routines.

Qualifications

This job demands an analytical, detail-oriented self-starter who possesses strong data recognition sense, organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with confidence and maturity. Must be punctual and dependable.

Required Skills/Abilities: Experience with Adobe PDF. Must speak clearly and confidently on the phone and in person. Function in a professional environment with integrity and confidentiality. Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.
