    Holland Services has opened a new office in the heart of Southpointe and we are actively seeking Title Agent Contractors.  The primary role of the contractor is to conduct extensive research and analysis on public ownership and title records to determine surface, mineral, and leasehold ownership. They are responsible for preparing accurate, detailed reports summarizing research results based on client needs and criteria.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform title examination and analysis per the project criteria
    • Examine deeds, liens, judgments, leases, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to determine surface, mineral, and leasehold ownership
    • Create and review run sheets, deed plots, and flowcharts for abstracts and title opinions.
    • Prepare detailed ownership reports and abstracts
    • Utilize a combination of online resources, courthouse computer systems, and courthouse records to conduct research accurately and timely
    • Obtain copies of documents when requested
    • Deliver quality, accurate research and reports based on client needs and criteria

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • AAPL membership preferred
    • Prior experience as a title agent or abstractor
    • Ability to efficiently run single interest verifications
    • Willingness to work in an office environment
    • Able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate appropriate initiative when making decisions and problem-solving
    •  Exhibit the ability to prioritize and organize multiple simultaneous tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
    • Must be able to operate in an environment with tight deadlines and strict standards
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Able to create and use spreadsheets including multiple worksheets at an intermediate level
