  • Responsibilities

    • Assists with the reviews, calculations, verification and prepares for execution all company owned Royalty and Overriding Royalty Division Orders
    • Analyzes event notifications and updates land system to reflect conveyances and changes in status, i.e., well completion/shut-in/sale.
    • Understands basic contract limitations and relevant legal constraints within the geographic region assigned.
    • Analyzes, reviews, interprets and sets up oil and gas leases, right-of-ways, company owned minerals, and other legal documents in Land System under guidance of Lease & Contracts analyst
    • Maintains and analyzes changes to existing oil and gas leases, company owned minerals, land contracts, and other legal documents in Land System
    • Generate acreage and rental reports upon request.
    • Provide administrative support to Land Department as needed. 

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:   

    • Preferred- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years as a Land Tech, Lease Analyst or Division Order Analyst with a basic understanding of oil & gas exploration terms and land and legal descriptions.

    Computer Skills:

     

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
    • Experience in BOLO or SSI

     

     

    Other Skills, Abilities or preferred Qualifications:

    • Must have a basic understanding of land functions within an oil and gas company environment
    • Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
    • Demonstrates responsible behavior and attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines

    Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers
