    Holland Services; we are a land-services business in the oil & gas industry and are currently seeking a front office administrator for our Houston, TX office.  This is not the typical receptionist role, the Holland Services administrative assistant provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.  Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.  In this role there may be exposure to time sensitive and confidential materials which must be handled with tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.  To be successful in this position, the Administrative Assistant will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively via email, telephone and verbally and have a keen awareness to details and accuracy. 


    A professional take-charge leader who handles their role with tact and decorum and can problem-solve and think outside of the box is the ideal candidate for this role.  We are seeking a goal oriented individual that can evolve with the position, someone who is enthusisatic to learn and grow.  



    • Answer and direct incoming calls for office, department and/or manager.
    • Efficiently reply and respond to email, telephone and face-to-face inquiries.
    • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
    • Maintain and/or create and implement an organizational system for record-keeping, data collection, reporting and reports.
    • Assist and/or coordinate "presentation packaging" - strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Carry out administrative duties such as typing correspondence, copying, filing, sourcing, scanning, etc.
    • Manage office calendar for time off, events, meetings, holidays, appointments, travel, etc.
    • Office supplies and equipment: call for repairs, order and stock supplies.
    • Coordinate office communications at the direction of management.
    • Serve as the liaison for guests and visitors, arrange temporary office space, tour of office and essential information (kitchen, restroom, parking, dining).

    Office Administrators across our multiple locations work together to provide overlapping telephone coverage during peak times as well as lunches and other responsibilities that require stepping away from the front reception area.  



    • Degree preferred or combination of education and experience.  
    • Minimum of three years preferred in the role of administrative assistant.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Must be able to manage and update calendars, set up appointments and send calendar invitations.
    • Able to create and use spreadsheets including multiple worksheets at an intermediate level.
    • Must possess strong organizational skills and be detail oriented, and demonstrable trust and confidentiality.
